DISNEY CRUISE LINE ANNOUNCES HUGE EXPANSION

Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is expanding its fleet with four new ships scheduled to launch between 2027 and 2031. This expansion will bring the total number of Disney cruise ships to 13, enhancing the company’s ability to offer its renowned entertainment, dining, and guest services to more destinations around the globe.

Currently, DCL operates five ships and has four additional vessels in the works. The new additions will further enrich Disney’s cruising experience, though details such as the names, designs, and itineraries of these ships are still under development. Additionally, the shipyard for these new builds has not been announced yet. Historically, Disney has collaborated with Meyer Werft in Germany for its shipbuilding, with the exception of the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, which were constructed by Fincantieri in Italy.
