Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady, the flagship of the fleet, is gearing up for an exciting transformation as it heads into dry dock from November 14-28. Recognized on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Gold List, this stunning vessel is set to enhance its already fabulous offerings with a series of chic upgrades after its initial seasons of sailing.
While Scarlet Lady’s signature experiences—like the vibrant Scarlet Night, mouthwatering dining options, and breathtaking acrobatics—will remain, some of its eateries are receiving a fresh twist. The beloved Razzle Dazzle will unveil a new evening concept, transforming its lively brunch atmosphere into an enchanting dining experience. The introduction of “Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle” promises a daring, Chinese-inspired menu complemented by craft cocktails, all within a stylish new setting featuring intimate booths instead of communal tables.
In response to the high demand for suites, Scarlet Lady will also be converting several Sea Terrace cabins on deck 11 into 24 “Seriously Suite” RockStar Quarters. These luxurious spaces, measuring 352 sq. feet, will include a European king bed, a Peek-a-Boo shower, a glamorous vanity, and even a stocked bar. Guests can look forward to relaxing in the signature Yellow Leaf hammock as they enjoy the upgraded amenities.
The ship’s deck area will receive a stylish makeover as well, with six new VIP cabanas adorned with breezy white curtains and luxe daybeds. These cabanas provide the perfect front-row view of the Aquatic Club and can be reserved individually or combined for larger gatherings. Inside, Ground Club Too will transition from a daytime coffee haven serving Intelligentsia Coffee to a sophisticated nighttime bar, featuring intimate lounge spaces and elevated cocktails.
Dining at The Wake, designed by Roman and Williams, will also see enhancements, as the raw bar will be transformed to showcase an impressive selection of high-end wines, further elevating the culinary experience.
Scarlet Lady’s non-smoking casino is expanding to accommodate additional slot machines and exclusive areas for competitive players, ensuring a vibrant gaming atmosphere onboard.
For those seeking relaxation, the Redemption Spa will introduce a couples treatment room, adding to its already enticing offerings, including bamboo massages and vitamin-infused facials. The existing Thermal Suite, featuring oversized portholes and heated quartz beds, will remain untouched for guests looking to unwind.
Additionally, a new mermaid will grace the ship’s bow, symbolizing strength and safe passage, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the brand.
Once renovations are complete, Scarlet Lady will embark on a scenic 16-night transatlantic journey from Rome to Miami, followed by a series of exciting Caribbean voyages. The six-night “Western Caribbean Charm” and the eight-night “Eastern Caribbean Antilles” will explore tropical destinations like St. Croix, Costa Maya, Roatán, San Juan, Puerto Plata, and Bimini. Each voyage promises a stop at Virgin Voyages’ Beach Club in the Bahamas, where guests can relax on powdery white sands and enjoy epic floatilla parties.
