Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is expanding its fleet with four new ships scheduled to launch between 2027 and 2031. This expansion will bring the total number of Disney cruise ships to 13, enhancing the company’s ability to offer its renowned entertainment, dining, and guest services to more destinations around the globe.
Currently, DCL operates five ships and has four additional vessels in the works. The new additions will further enrich Disney’s cruising experience, though details such as the names, designs, and itineraries of these ships are still under development. Additionally, the shipyard for these new builds has not been announced yet. Historically, Disney has collaborated with Meyer Werft in Germany for its shipbuilding, with the exception of the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, which were constructed by Fincantieri in Italy.
Upcoming new ships for Disney Cruise Line include:
- Disney Treasure: Scheduled to enter service in December 2024.
- Disney Destiny: Set to debut in late 2025.
- Disney Adventure: Launching in Singapore in 2024.
- A new Wish-class ship: Designed specifically for the Japanese market, expected to begin service in late 2028.
These new vessels will continue Disney’s tradition of delivering exceptional cruise experiences, with a focus on expanding their global reach and providing unique, immersive experiences for guests of all ages.
